Dr. Bach was known to offer his time, talent and services at no charge to many throughout his career. Find Your Balance, Inc. teaches that an important part of finding your balance in mind, body & spirit is to:
1. Recognize the blessings we receive each day 2. Recognize the gifts we have been blessed with 3. Offer kindness in return for kindness received –to the person directly or to another 4. Know that in giving we receive 5. Offering our special gifts to others freely blesses all of us
In that spirit Mary Ann Dittmeier worked with a fine group of over eleven holistic practitioners to establish The Bay Shore Holistic Health Association, Inc., a not-for-profit organization. The brainchild of Elizabeth Casey, LAc, this unique center offers a multitude of holistic modalities to low income and severely econom-ically challenged persons. Others pay on a sliding scale.
The center is open each Wednesday from 10 AM to 2 PM and the first Tuesday of the month from 6PM to 9PM. No appointments are necessary.
Services, available on a first come first served basis, include: massage therapy, yoga, chiropractic, medit-ation, nutritional evaluation, herbal education and consults, naturopathic consults, physical therapy consults, information and referral by our social work interns, Bach Flower Essences, reiki treatments, tai chi and more. As all practitioners work for no charge and within the confines of their busy schedules, availability of services may vary each week.
All visitors and clients alike will be welcomed by our friendly volunteer greeters. No I.D. is required.
We are located at the Unitarian Universalist Society at 28 Brentwood Road, Bay Shore, NY between Union Boulevard and Montauk Highway. Bus service very nearby: S40, S42 and S45.
We are blessed with dedicated volunteers who arrive early to help set up and stay later to help clean up after each week’s sessions. We hope that you will consider joining our team as a greeter, set up person, board member, or holistic practitioner.
Call Mary Ann Dittmeier for more information or to volunteer.
We look forward to meeting you to share the blessings that are available by giving freely…
